Who can attend courses?
There are no special qualifications
needed. Read the course
descriptions, consider your experience and then select the course
most suited to your interests and objectives.

Definitely, yes. It does not matter where you
live.

When do courses begin?
Courses officially begin on
the date listed on our website. Some
teachers send round the first lesson a few days in advance of this date. It
is helpful to us if you have both paid and registered at least one
week before the start of a course.
How long are courses?
Courses vary in length from ten
days to six weeks. Please check
the course description for each course.
How much do courses cost?
The price of each course is given on the course description page and
at the course listing.
What about homework and assignments?
Pharos tutors
do not set formal assignments. Each lesson will
contain several exercises for you to do in your own time as you work
through the lesson.
How do I register for a course?
The first step is to
pay. When we have confirmation that your
payment is safely received, we will send you a link to a registration
page.
How can I communicate with classmates?
You can leave messages for fellow students at the course forum, send
each other emails via the forum and also chat privately using the course
chatroom if you prearrange a time to meet there.
Can a course be cancelled?
We have never cancelled a course
Can I register in two courses at once?
Yes, if you feel you have the time to devote to two courses
What books or supplies will I need?
No books are vital
to any Pharos course. We do sometimes recommend
extra reading, but this is entirely voluntary. All you need is
an internet connection.
How do I choose a course?

How often are courses repeated?
This varies from course
to course and will depend on demand for the course as well as the teacher’s
other professional commitments.
