The International Society for British Genealogy and Family History

The International Society for British Genealogy and Family History (ISBGFH)
has been helping its members search for their roots in the United Kingdom
and Ireland for more than thirty years. It was established at a time when
there were few opportunities in the United States for genealogists to
find information on British research. The Society has always had an interest
in education, in helping their members learn more about researching English,
Scottish, Irish, and Welsh ancestry from a distance.
About a year ago the Society began to look for a way to bring courses to its members via the Internet. It wanted programs of similar quality to those it offers every October at its British Institute in Salt Lake City.
Pharos was selected to provide courses for five reasons: its British base, the type of courses offered, an emphasis on personal help for students, the knowledge and experience of its teachers, and because two of its instructors, Sherry Irvine and George Morgan are well-known in America.
The ISBGFH, with the help of Pharos, is offering anyone interested in research in the UK and Ireland exclusive and co-listed courses. Members of the Society pay a discounted rate.
ISBGFH exclusive courses:
British Isles Research: Solving Problems and Creating Strategies
English and Welsh Research: Essentials on the Web
