Just in time for our birthday week we are delighted to announce our brand new course:
Researching Itinerant Ancestors
Written and taught by our tutor, Eilir Daniels, this course runs for the first time in February 2027 and is booking now.
Many of our ancestors’ lives conformed to a pattern which allows us to trace their stories, normally without too much difficulty, even if they moved to a different part of the country or migrated to another country entirely in search of work and a new life. However, there are some specific groups of people and families whose lives deviated from most mainstream norms, be that as a result of their culture, occupations or their personal circumstances.
They include Romany Gypsies, entertainers, navvies, hawkers, travelling salesmen and vagabonds.
