I can’t recommend Pharos enough - if you are thinking of studying then don’t hesitate, I promise you won’t regret it and your family or local history research will improve beyond all expectations; though be warned… one course often leads to another … and another. :-)
Every course, without fail, has been informative and challenging and the tutors, all experts in their field, are approachable and passionate about their subjects. I have learned so much about records I never knew existed and of the fun to be had in reading about the, sometimes jaw-dropping, things our forebears said and did. I would recommend Pharos to anyone with an interest in family history, at whatever level. You won’t regret it and you never know what you might discover and where it may lead.
I always enjoy Pharos courses. I appreciate the mix of informative lessons, lively online chat and the assessment assignments, which encourage me to think in more detail about the material in the course. I think that the format you currently have works very well.
The content of the course was very interesting. There is an incredible amount of information out there and I think the Pharos courses are very well structured and run. I also enjoyed the chat sessions and other students perspectives and stories.
